Alabama Media Group announces 2016 summer internship program

Alabama Media Group is seeking candidates for its 2016 paid summer internship program. The program is open to current, full-time undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in Journalism, Business, Communications, or related fields.

As part of a national internship program organized by Advance Local, interns will be immersed in the Birmingham-based headquarters for eight weeks and then come together for a national summit in the New York City area with fellow interns from across the country.

The internship program begins June 6, 2016

The deadline for applicants will be Feb. 13, 2016.

Alabama Media Group and AL.com proudly support the 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast in Birmingham, AL. Watch these stirring images from the Birmingham Civil Rights Movement provided courtesy of AL.com’s vintage archives.  Alabama native, grammy-nominated performance artist, Alvin Garrett, provided his hit song, “By Myself” for this tribute video.
