Get to know the Alabama millennial [Infographic]

There is a lot of (mis)information out there about millennials. We’ve all heard it and read it: millennials are slackers, entitled, un-loyal to brands, they have no respect for the process of things, they can’t take constructive criticism…etc. Do a quick Google search on “millennials” and watch as the search results and stories covering the above topics just keep going on and on, page after page.

In the last year or so though, it seems as though there’s been a culture shift. The conversation is starting to turn the corner as those in the non-millennial generation workforce are beginning to see and understand that many of the bold concepts and unconventional perspectives that millennials bring to the table do hold an unprecedented amount of value.

Not only that, but companies are beginning to understand that they need to fiercely compete for millennial mindshare. There are eighty million millennials in America alone and they represent about a fourth of the population, with $200 billion in annual buying power. Millennials’ parents and grandparents buying decisions are even strongly influenced by them. Businesses are just starting to scratch the surface on how to effectively connect with this generation.  Millennials are a different breed, and one that’s continuing to rise in powerful numbers both in the workplace and as consumers.

If you’re an Alabama business, imagine for a second that all of the stats and information you know about millennials could be micro focused on just Alabama millennials. Imagine what it could do for your business if could understand how to market your products, services, or how to focus your hiring power to Alabama millennials specifically.

If you had that type of information and used it properly, the amount of millennial talent you could recruit and the brand loyal customers you could acquire would be a game changer for your business.

We’re going to help you do just that.

In April 2016, Alabama Media Group surveyed over 3,000 millennials. The results are aimed at providing Alabama companies with insights to help focus marketing dollars to create a brand loyal millennial.
